KOI’S GALA OPENING
The Los Angeles hotspot, KOI only has one other outpost—in New York—so the opening of number 3 here was an absolute must-trek from Tinseltown for its starry supporters. VIP guests entered the grand entrance to KOI in the new Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino for the first time, passing beneath three playful gilded Buddhas.
The first Buddha sees no evil, the second hears no evil and the third speaks no evil to emphasize the Las Vegas mantra of, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
Among the wall to wall VIP’s were newlyweds Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon, singer Avril Lavigne with husband Deryck Whibley from the Sum 41 rock band, my friends Vince Neil and his stunning knockout wife, Leah, musician Cisco Adler, Camille Guaty (Las Vegas), Chris Kattan (Saturday Night Live), Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live), Criss Angel (Mindfreak), David Spade (Rules of Engagement), Dax Shepard (The Comebacks), Ian Ziering (Dancing With the Stars), Jeremy Piven (Entourage), Jon Cryer (Two and a Half Men), Jonathan Sadowski (Chuck), Krysten Ritter (What Happens in Vegas…), Lydia Hearst (Designer/model), Natalie Zea (Dirty Sexy Money), Petra Nemcova, Rachael Taylor (Transformers), Rex Lee (Entourage), Rick Fox, Seth Meyers (Saturday Night Live), Scott Porter (Friday Night Lights), Simon Rex (Scary Movie 4), Stavros Niarchos, Yvonne Strahovsk (Chuck), Zach Gilford (Friday Night Lights) and Zoe Saldana (Vantage Point)—and even many more Hollywood folks too numerous to mention.
